How To Create A Product Sale From Your osCommerce CRE Loaded Store Admin Print E-mail
How to use the Sales Maker Tool from your Admin

1) Log into you Admin
2) Go to Catalog Menu
3) Click "Sales Maker"
4) Click the New Sale button on the right.
5) From here you can mark EVERYTHING on sale, or just individual Main Categories or Sub Categories.  This is a very easy way to run sales for multiple products.

A helpful option here is the ability to set an end date for your sale.  This setting will be saved and it can be updated at any time, such as an end of the month or end of season sale.  You can set sales for big shopping weekends, just like the Big Box Stores from this tool.

Another good option is the ability to apply the sale to certain products by a price range, this way you do not mark down items that already have a low margin such as some of the lower cost cables or accessory items.

How To Add An Individual Product Not Offered In The Data Feed For osCommerce Print E-mail
Some suppliers restrict products from the data service offering.  Some products are not sold through the drop ship program (very heavy items or some very inexpensive small items).  Some products are also only offered to qualified resellers.  Check with your supplier contact about any products that you believe you should have access to that you do not see in the data feed.

Since your supplier is not providing the data in the Easy Populate format you will need to load these product details without the Easy Populate tool.

To add an individual product that in not in the data feed, but offered by the supplier please do the following:

•    Log into your admin.
•    Go to the menu area Catalog
•    Click Categories / Products
•    Then go to the exact category file that you want to load the products.  Choose the Main category or subcategory where you want the product placed.
•    Then click the "New Product" button.
•    Just fill in a few of the lines from the details provided about the product from the supplier. You can just copy paste the description into the first box on the "New Product" page.
•    You load the image down at the bottom of the page just like an attachment.  You only need to load the first Product Image at the bottom.  osCommerce will make the thumbnail images for you.

From this page you can edit the price and control when the product is in stock and out of stock as often as you want.
