HELP-How To: Add a new ID Page to osCommerce CRE Loaded When The ID Page Needed Was Removed Print E-mail
Some users have used the Info Pages to link the template pages from the site to the admin pages to add the content.  This is a very simple process.  However, some users have noted an issue with this tool on some osCommerce CRE Loaded versions, such as 6.15.

If a template link, such as the "About Us" page shows in the address bar that it uses Info Page ID5, then they would go to the Info Page tool in their admin under the Info System menu and the Info Manager link.  If you create a new ID page, it creates them in order.  You can edit these pages, such as their content and title.  However, if you delete a page and create a new one to replace it, the ID page will not start from the next ID page that is needed, it will start with the next ID page from the page that was deleted.  S

For example: If you have ID4.  Next create 5 more new ID pages, you will now show ID page 9.  If you delete these 5 new pages and create a new page it will not start again with ID5, but it will create ID10, ID11, ID12, and so on.

There are ways to change the reference in the template, but here is a simpler way to correct the issue.

The ID page can be reset.  It can be updated in the database directly using PHPMyAdmin.  You go to the /hostadmin link, login to the database admin, choose the "information" table from the left frame.  From there, click the "Browser" tab in the main window to see all the entries in that database table.  For any row, you can click the pencil icon to edit the row, and then set the ID value (information_id) to what you need it to be.  If you have made any changes in the PHPMyAdmin or Hostadmin control this is a very easy change to make.  If it is your first time...just look around the site and follow the steps above.  the change will not be so scary.  If you use a hosting service that has full nightly backups, like Inventory Source, then you can always correct the issue with the backup from the night before if you have an issue.
