In this introductory guide we wanted to take a moment to help explain a few of the basic Inventory Source user account types and service options.
Free Account
In the Free Account access you are able to view all of our guides, tutorials, business references and most importantly you can view all of our integrated suppliers and their program details with the right side menu “Inventory Browser” and “Supplier Info” sections. You can easily browse the wholesale suppliers and their categories, brands, and product data provided through our service. We can also help you to activate your own business account with each program. Unlike other services there is no trial period which will close your account. We want you to have your membership with us for as long as you like. If you do not see your current suppliers or desired product types let us know. We continue to add new suppliers, account features, and training materials every month.
Download User
Once you subscribe to the data service for a supplier program you can access all of the standard file formats in the File Download Tool. You will also be able to use the Push To eBay Tool at no additional cost. If you need your supplier data in ANY format, the Custom File Service can be added to your account. We can convert your supplier feed into any CSV or XML format for your platform, marketplace, or 3rd party system and update this format every day with the latest details from your suppliers. You will have access to all custom account features to manage your inventory levels, products, categories, and prices. Automation User We can help you upgrade to our full service Inventory Automation Account. If you already have a website platform or use our Hosted Site Package we may be able to automatically load the products and images to your site and update the price, quantity, and status for your products every day with the latest supplier updates. You can control the category format, brands, products, and prices that apply to your site every day. This service is the most powerful data solution offered online for small and growing businesses like yours. Get access to the same level of controls and web services for your business that were once only accessible by the largest stores online. You select any number of products from the suppliers in our supplier network. Our automation software automatically searches your site or platform for the products that you have selected through our network. The price, quantity, and status for all of those products are updated each day, with the most recent supplier information.
When a supplier increases the price for an item, your profit margin is protected through the price setting options that you control. When a product is out of stock, it is hidden from the customer's view so they do not complete the sale. When you want to change your pricing strategy for the products supported through our network, the prices for all of your thousands of products will reflect your change. Other products on your site or platforms are not impacted from any of our automation service. We can be your total service solution for selling drop ship items or complement your existing product offerings.
INVENTORY UPDATE SERVICES THROUGH DOWNLOAD OR FULL AUTOMATION:
We offer the Product Access File Download Account and the Full Inventory Automation Account. The benefits of our Download or Full Automation options are the same, such as controlling your price strategy for all products and updating the price, quantity, and status of your selected products. You just decide the upload method that meets your needs and style.
The Product Access File Download Account allows you use our daily update service to pull your update file(s) from your monthly access to your Inventory Source Account and upload it to your site when you want. You can also use other included services like the Push To eBay Tool or add services like a customized feed format.
The Full Inventory Automation Account will automatically search your site for the products from your wholesale dropship supplier subscriptions that you have selected and update the price, quantity, and status of those products, and only those products while allowing you to list other items on your own as well. This will be completed each morning and requires no action from you to complete the daily updates. We communicate with your suppliers and "stock your shelves" for you!
